Animate surface properties

Hi,
simple question:
When I change a surface property, e.g. set opacity from 100 to 50 on frame 10, the opacity is 50 when I go back to frame 0.
Is it really not possible to change a surface property over time?

Not easily, no. One option is - assuming you are using DAZ Studio - to use the Shader Mixer where you can get the frame from a Variable brick and use that to control a property.

Thank you for this very fast answer!
Yes I use DAZ Studio. Not 100% sure what your answer means, but I will find out :)
I just wonder if there never was any demand for this feature, as I cannot imagine it being a problem to implement? These are just numerical values after all :)
    Thanks again

There's certainly demand for animatable material settings, but they haven't (yet) been implemented.

I always get a 415 error when I click the download link. Would you mind to send the zip file to peter.eisenmann AT gmx.net?

Sorry I cannot only Casual can and might if you PM him or at least help you find the reason, I suspect it is google sites related and your browser having a setting to block it.
As I use Gmail I am signed into google but if you are one of those who avoid all things Google it may affect the ability to download.

Ok I can understand that. I am actually signed into google, still get the error, maybe it's really browser related. So I will contact casual then. Thanks again!
