Yes.
Yeah, definitely, you can put them on one by one, only you have to tweak some collison if there's any
I tried the collision in the surfaces tab but it didn't seem to do much. Is there another way?
To fix poke-through,mostly it depends on the clothing you use and where the poke-thrus are. If the clothing are dForced ones, pls do simulaton first. Then rig the shape parameters of the clothing. You may also try to increase the value of Smoothing Iterations after adding Smoothing Modifier and Collision Iterations bit by bit to see the result.
In general, clothing colide with body, but for some outer clothing, you may change its Collision Item to the inner clothing to see if it helps. Beside, there're some tools to fix poke-thru, like Fit Control, Breast Helper (author is Sickleyield, she ever made some SY xxx tools for solving poke-thru, you may search), Mesh Grabber, etc. You may try them all for sure. I myself nowadays only use Mesh Grabber to fix poke-thru, it is quick and effective.
Set the Collision layer value in the Surfaces pane for each item, higher numbers go over lower (although it's a surface settings it applies to the whole model - I think if there are mixed values the highest is the one used).
