How does the PC+ trial work?

At the moment, when I log into DAZ, I see an alert banner at the top of the screen which invites me to "Enjoy Your Extra Benefits". Clicking on that brings up a box which offers "Please enjoy a 3-day trial as a PC+ Member for FREE"; but when I follow the link, I'm taken to the regular Platinum Club Plus Annual Membership page, where there's no further mention of the free trial.
Has anyone tried this successfully / knows something I don't? I'm not willing to risk checking out seventy dollars' worth of membership from a page which is at pains to point out that "There are no refunds for Platinum Club Memberships."
The offer does say "Discount valid for intended recipients only" so I guess not everybody gets to see this; obviously PC+ members won't. Maybe I'm not the intended recipient?!

My observation, we are getting the PC+ new and freebie items. Scroll down on the PC+ page to see. We are getting PC+ pricing in the store for the sample period. We are not getting monthly coupons in our accounts.
If you check out at $70, you will have a full-price, 1-year PC+ subscription. It's worth the money, but I recommend waiting for a PC+ membership sale (30-40% off is usual, sometimes 50% happens).
Ah, right, thanks very much! If I sort the store by ascending price I can see that I'm getting freebies and other discounts that I wouldn't normally expect.
I'm glad I didn't chance it with the PC+ subscription. I've been a member in the past, but I use mainly generation 4 figures in Poser. I've probably bought most of the relevant stuff already, and I don't think there's enough new releases to make membership worthwhile for me at full price. I'll wait for a sale as you suggest.
