[SUGGESTIONS] Browsing content on the DAZ store needs much better organization

DAZ has a lot of great content, but one thing I've always had trouble with is being able to narrow selections the way I'd like, particulary durings sales.
It would be fantastic if we had toggles to limit selections to "characters" (just characters), "faces" (just heads), "clothes" (just clothing), "hair", "environments", and "props" etc...
Going further, the ability to select clothing/pose/environment/etc.. sub-types, and the ability to filter out anything you aren't actively looking for (e.g. hats, jackets, shoes, armor, boots, etc..) would make the site much easier to navigate.
It would also be great to have a toggle for "environments" -> "interiors", "exteriors", "sets", "props".
With so much content in the store, and as a loyal customer, I sometimes also feel discouraged from buying anything more because I don't want to duplicate things that are the same or too similar to things I've already purchased. I'd like the store to match similar content you own (same clothing category, same type of environment, etc..) on a side tab to reduce redundant purchases.
DAZ is a fantastic resource for content, but it takes significantly longer than it should to navigate. The software and content is high quality, but the store website design hasn't meaningfully improved since I started shopping here, and feels a bit like I'm shopping at amazon circa 2000.
Frequently I'll skip looking at sales, even very good ones, because I know it'll take significantly more time than I want to spend browsing in order to find anything I want to buy (and to cross-check it to make sure it's not duplication).

So you actually can do that with the 3rd-party browser extension Daz-Deals, but it would be nice to have that and the rest of what Daz-Deals extension does built into the website natively. It lets you hide or show only items you own.
Without the Daz-Deals extension, it's basically impossible to navigate the DAZ store. I'd have stopped buying anything from DAZ a long time ago were it not for that extension. The fact that the DAZ store has no built-in toggle to hide content you own already is crazy (especially given the nature of what they sell), but reflects how many decades out-of-date the DAZ store is in terms of organization (or mostly lack thereof).
Not trying to sound too critical because there are a lot of things DAZ are doing right, but their store navigation is not one of them. It's literally the worst I have seen on any major website in a very long time.
While we're at it, a 'Hide Poses' option would be a massive step forward.
Also a 'hide texture addons for products not owned" please
Basically it would be great to have the Smart content tab of Daz Studio, imbedded into the website.. But yes it would be awesome if the products on here were catagorized even more, to make sorting the wheat from the chaff so to speak that much easier..
So I was reminded of this thread because I wasted a signifant amount of time this weekend narrowing down content that was on sale for Labor Day.
Some Major Annoyances:
All in all, this was an extremely disappointing shopping experience, which happens frequently when you try to shop their sales. Right now, I have a functionally useless gift balance that I intended to use on the sale for purchasing specific things that interested me, and now most of them are not on sale. I may just put up a sticky note on my desk not to bother looking at DAZ 3D's store after I exhaust the gift balance I added. There are increasingly other options out there that aren't even remotely as difficult to browse. DAZ is just terrible trying to sort through things and narrow down what you want. It's a cluttered mess, and has been since I started shopping here.
It actually ends up being more expensive here than competitors considering how time sensitive the deals are, how hard they try to bait you into paying more for the things that were advertised on sale (considering the amount of time you need to spend to find anything and cross-check with what you bought already, and the low odds you'll actually be able to checkout before the price changes).
They make good content, but every time I try to shop here, I never want to again because of how much time you waste on the DAZ store browsing due to the lack of useful organization and filtering.
What do you mean? The main shop page, all sales categories and all PA stores have that option:
I assumed that was because I'd installed the Daz-Deals plugin. Good to know they finally added it.
Everything else still stands. I'd really prefer to be able to just navigate to the product categories I'm trying to see quickly.
I don't want to waste hours on their site every time there's a sale scrolling through poses / animatons when I want to buy clothes, or scrolling through clothes when I want to buy models, or scrolling through figures when I want to buy props / environments. Likewise if your're looking for VFX, or shaders / materials, or utilities / software, hair, or morphs. Or bundles vs. single items. For the amount of content they have, they need much better organization than they have now.
If sales were not so time sensitive, it would be less of a problem. There've been a number of times where I've spent the time to narrow down what I wanted to buy, only to just miss the sale cutoff time despite racing the clock. When that happens a lot, you tend to feel like your time as a customer isn't being respected, and that you've wasted your time trying to shop. I like DAZ, but the shopping experience tends to leave a lot to be desired.
The thing they need to do is add an additional sidebar on the left to further refine selections. It should have on/off toggles for:
Those 2 options have been there for years...
So, nobody can tell dazamonium a quick solution for his problem? Nobody feels his pain? Only me?
Ok, dazamonium, go to posercontent.com and spend some time researching it's search/filter/categories. I quess it will be usefull for you and will save your time in a future. The only thing you can't do there (from what you want) is to hide items you own. But everything other is rather good imho. On product's description page just click big green button under preview image to return to daz3d.com
See my attachment. I found cyberpunk clothing for g8f that's on sale in 5 seconds (5 clicks):
You can add other tags to filter such as "long hair", "lingerie", "retro", "military", "sci-fi", "tattoos", "weapon", "pirates" etc. just start to text something in "Other tag" field. You can find and remember some usefull tags on product's description page.
I hope this information will be helpfull for you.

Touch... :)
I'm not sure about PC+ coupons, but I think it is possible to add wishlist and products I own to posercontent.com. I will contact their admin with this suggestion. Wonder his unswer. ;)
Thanks for posting that. I've been shopping here for years, and somehow I never stumbled on any mention of that site until now. This highlights my point though - the DAZ store should've had similar filtering capabilities as that years ago, instead of customers needing to find a 3rd party website that's functional aim is to be a more customer-friendly interface than the actual store. That site would've saved me a lot of time over the years.
One thing missing from posercontent.com is the ability to do all that filtering for a specific sale event, which is what's most frustrating trying to shop on the vanilla DAZ store as is. Many sales have specific qualifiers for their discounts, so you want to be able to apply the filters to a specific sale event in order to see the discounts applied that you're expecting to see.
I'd also like to see:
It appears they might be listening, or else were planning on some website improvements anyway, per this thread ( https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/519106/website-improvements-and-updates-incoming#latest ). Hopefully they look at posercontent and make some notes for improving the DAZ store.
If event changes prices/discounts of products and you can see it on product's description pages, than you will see these prices/discounts on posercontent too. All prices are actual, even for 2-hours flash sale, as I noticed. But if discounts are applied at checkout process and you cannot see them on product's description pages, than you will not see them on posercontent too. It is what it is. And, of course, posercontent cannot show you complex discounts, such as "buy 2 get 10% extra" etc. The only thing posercontent can should implement is wishlist and products I own. That will be awesome.
Anyway, let's see daz3d updates...
I assumed by this they meant I only product XYZ...I want to search for any additional texture sets that can be used for product XYZ
At least it's not the chaotic mess that is the rendo marketplace where you'll get a glut of clothing TEXTURES intermingled with clothing/weapon/and conforming props instead of strict clothing.... but yeah, they should keep the clothing/hair textures in TEXTURES instead of clogging up the clothing/hair section...
I, too, would like these upgrades, though I'm still mildly post-traumatized by last year's site rebuild. Running a web store and categorization are not Daz's wheelhouse. But my monthly expenditure here has decreased by 75 percent; so, I can't complain.
New upgrade is comming... hold on.
Pictures xyero going "Oh, darnit, another 'update' coming to traumatize me again!!!!' as s/he runs screaming into the hills.
Bwahahaha!
