bones merging

I'm trying to rig a chain and it was imported already broken up into face groups. The bones keep merging together.  What stupid thing amd I doing?

  • I'm not following what you are doing, or what you mean by the bones merging.

  • Like they all combine into one group and move together.

  • Also this.  Different bones are moving the same area.

  • Ok here's where I'm having a problem I think.  The chain has all it's bones and the end piece is weight mapped to 100%.  Then when I want to add weight mapping to the next bone it's adding it to both of them.  How can I make it only affect the right bone and not all the bones after?
