Sales Item changes price in cart?

I was curious if any one else had this issue with the latest sales.

Twice in the last day, I selected items marked down to $1.99 to buy. In the first case, the price change within a few minutes (from $1.99 to $7 +) when in my cart. The second time might be more understandable. I put in another item, got distracted by a work issue and returned later that day.  But when I returned, the items had changed price to $7. 95.  This item's price change happened in less than a 24 hour period. I didn't have an issue with other items on sale, which is baffling.

I respect that DAZ has a right to process or change things  but it's a bit frustrating not to know how long a sale price lasts. Was the price change an error? Or due to something else? Has this happened to anyone else? If anyone can shed light on the issue, I'd be very grateful.

Thanks

The rule of thumb here is to buy it as soon as you can because you never know when a sale will end and prices change. The good thing is though, it will usually be on sale again.

  • FSMCDesigns Thanks. I'll remember that in future :)

Oh ya. Took screen shots & made a ticket.  The activity I got was 3 different support droids I guess from Sales asking me the exact same question over a period of maybe 5 days.  A question that had been answered in the original posting's screen shot attachments to them, in the first reply & in the second reply.  I got justifiably pissed when asked the same thing the third time w/o ANY info from them as to what their doing about it. Other than just going in circles.

Basically, I then old them they'd wasted more of my time that it was worth.  When it happens again (and it will), I'll simply take the same action & just Delete the items from the cart.  I might have liked to have those items, but NOT when the checkout price doubles or nearly triples!  But it's Daz who blew the sale, not me. And it seems that it's pretty common occurance here I'm noticing.  Perhaps someone should pay attention.

Brick & Mortar stores would have honored the documented price, you know.  Daz ever offer that?

Next time though, I'll just post the screen shots on the forum as apparently trying to do the right thing is pointless.  Public exposure ALWAYS works for some reason.

Or simply bring it to the attention certain official channels perhaps.  Technically, it's Bait & Switch.

If the user misses the cut off time then it is the users fault and not DAZ

I have been shopping here for awhile also and have never submitted a sales dispute ticket to CS, even though I have missed the cutoff time plenty of times myself. Then again I manage a brick and mortar store so I am probably a bit more understanding and less anal about it.

I just wish DAZ would stick to the same timezone. Mostly they use MDT, but just recently they used EDT. And I really, really don't like the use of 12am...
