Saving scenes including content

Hi,
I am going to get a new computer and need to install DAZ new. And use the chance to make my content library cleaner so i do not want to just copy the whole content library.
This makes me worried about getting problems opening my old DAZ scenes - as far as i understand the .DUF file contains only references and all models are in the library.
Is it possible to save scenes in a way that is independ from the content library? Like storing the content for a scene in the same folder like the scene file?

As far as I'm aware no, but there is a product that will show you all the files related to that particular scene so you can save those files to know they need reinstalled. You can try one of these methods under "Products" If you do forget something DS will let you know you're missing a file and the prompt to install applies only to Daz content and you can reinstall that particular one from there as well. Thats about the best that I can think of atm. Someone else may be able to weigh in and give another way.
As far as I know, there's no way to do that as you wish. If there is, I'll be also excited to learn such an 'independent saving'. You said you want to make a clean Content Library, do you mean you wanna re-install all the products you have by DIM, or manually?
It's not exactly what you're asking, but this product lets you collect all the technical files related to a given scene: https://www.daz3d.com/content-gatherer
Be aware that Content Gatherer will work with content installed with DIM, but not content installed with Daz Connect.
Not to worry: as long as those contents are available somewhere in your entire content library you'll be just fine.
I know, because I tried. Back in the day of me being a newbie I had the nasty habit (in hindsight) to extract third party stuff straight into my main library. Later on I started using my personal library and nowadays you can easily add multiple folders to your library so now I have one dedicated for 3rd party stuff. A few weeks ago I cleaned out my main library a bit by moving several 3rd party stuff which I had manually installed into that new dedicated folder. Note: I had already imported the several items into my Smart Contents (manually) and I had also used them in a few scenes.
Moving their physical location didn't cause any issues for the entries within Smart Contents and even my scenes behaved as always.
So as long as you make sure that this material is available somewhere in your library things should continue to work just as always.
The content-gatherer looks interesting.
And i have to try the idea with additional librarys for 3rd party stuff. This should help to uninstall 3rd party stuff.
Thanks
