Your standard workflow to make characters look more consistent in different distance and angle?

Hi, I don't know if it is just me or the character look differently when changing the viewing distance and angle.

I know it is related to light, camera and because of the way 3d shown in 2d. But still, I am curious the procedure you often flow to mitigate the said problem to make character look more consistent?

You also have to keep in mind the field of view of the camera. The closer you get with a wide angle lens, the more round faces look...big noses, etc.

  • It also seems like some PAs model their characters only paying attention to the front view. The character is stunning from that view, but the profile is sometimes grotesque and requires extensive morphing.
