Hothradaun for Dragon3

https://www.daz3d.com/hothradaun-for-dragon-3

Wherever human settlements grow across the universe, they bring along the Hothradaun. A mighty beast of burden, suitable for both riding and hauling. They are equally at home in deserts as they are in icy tundra, with a body temperature at a steady luke warm level.

This character was designed with ultra-realistic skin skin techniques, using the DAZ PBRSkin shader. The High Definition morphs, High Quality textures and dHair fur will really bring this character to life for your renders.

  • Product Includes
    • One Hothradaun Character Preset
    • One Hothradaun Shaping Preset
    • dHair fur for both the dragon and the wingless feature
    • Three Full Body Texture Material Presets with Fur
    • Three Eye Material Presets

Five Hothradaun poses and one rider pose (to fit to standing pose1)

  • That's so cool!

Also: "a body temperature at a steady luke warm level." LOL (I see what you did there) and the name of the creature too.

Love the options as always and great that you include the poses :)

Got paid yesterday (and picked up Dragon 3 not long ago) so...creature meet cart.

  • I love it!

very cool!. I have a static tauntaun I ported from a game I own, but this looks like it has so many more possibilities.

Poor Geirrod had barely made it past the first marker when his mount froze to death :(

Since the 'dead' pose was included, it inspired these pics (variations on the same scene)

Somehow I knew you'd have this covered, LOL

BTW, your link has the weird bit at the end making it go to an 'OOPS' (though it doesn't appear to do so in the quote box - odd).

What interior options are there if one has to spend the night inside one...? I here Hothradauns are more popular than yurts with glampers theses days.

Regardless, that's some pretty cool rejiggering of dragon polys you got there.

"This cozy habitat is suitable for single occupancy offering warmth on those cold winter nights"

    ;)

  • This is a really cool critter! I love all things dragon, & this gives even more versatility to the figure.

One question though--how do I turn off his Holtzman Shield?

Holtzman Shields were something featured in Frank Herbert's "Dune" on the desert planet Arakis, but I suppose they could be useful in places like Hoth, too. laugh

No worries.....I go the Holtzman Shiled comment...I love Dune

it looks like something didnt install properly, I would download and install again

Also make sure your version of D/S can use dHair.....if you have a really really old version, then you might have issues too

    Ah! Thanks! That's the problem.

I've been having issue with dHair for some time, since Windows made my graphics card obsolete. As a result, I tried to do some things with LAMH, but wouldn't you know it, DAZ Studio did some "upgrades" which killed that, too! At the moment, I installed 4.10 trying to get LAMH working again. I had just bought the Horthradaun yesterday and wanted to see how he would do--now I'm running into those issues you mentioned! blush When I deleted the fur for your figure, the boxes all went away.

When I'm done with the project I'm working on right now, I'll get around to reinstalling the later versions of DAZ again. I hope I can find a way to have both the 4.10 and 4.16 versions working--possibly hosting them on different disks, or maybe have to have a second machine. But for now, I'll just have to be patient and looking forward to playing with him in the future.

    Cheers,

    Ryuu

I am glad you tracked down the source of the issue....hope you get to use it in its full glory :)
