Alright.  I give up.  Have spent a hour plus trying to figure this out.

Don't know if it was coincidental to the 4.15 update tonight AND getting a new 8.1 character at the same time (the G8 figures show up fine you notice), but Wolfgang 8.1's gorgeous face only shows up as this:

(And yes I got to take advantage of the conditions to get 80% off  ;) )

It used to be if an item was missing is icon for the Smart Product tab, you would just rename a jpg file to match the zip or dsx, and that was it.  Not now it seems.  Tracked the image getting displayed to a sub folder in the InstallManager Downloads folder, but no go.

Niggly issue I know, but ...

So, what's the process now to correct this?

    Don't use smart content. wink

    I know, not the answer you wanted, but I couldn't resist since I never use smart content and have seen lots of threads with SC issues. I hope you get it sorted though

    Interesting.  He does show up in Primary tab in the Content Library, but not as the product shot.

    But,one would think that a new 8.1 character would have all of that sorted, ya know. Good number of areas where Daz really needs to get their feces accumulated.

    For products installed with Install Manager, the product icon jpg that shows up in the Smart Content Tab is stored in Runtime>Support. 

    Search for Wolfgang's product id:  82024.  You should find three files: .dsx, .dsa and .jpg.  If the .jpg looks like the generic product icon you're seeing for Wolfgang, then that is the file you need to replace.  After replacing the file, refresh the Smart Content tab by selecting another category and reselect the All category.

    For product installed via Daz Connect, the product icon files that shows up in the Smart Content Tab is stored in My Daz Connect Library\data\cloud\meta.  Wolfgang's product icon file name is 1_82024.jpg
