Can't open/White screen

Hi! I suddenly can not open Daz. It greets me with my typical postogre error that i'm used to
But then - nothing. White window that i cant even see

I tried deleting DAZ launcher and daz itself (because it was the solution in FAQ) but it didn't help either

  • It might be an issue with the interface files, in

    %AppData%/daz 3d/studio4/

Try removing the actions.dsx, customactions.dsx, layout.dsx, menus.dsx, and toolbars.dsx files and see if DS will then open.

Thanks for the help but it didn't help unfortunately =)

  • I'm having a similar issue. My whole interface has gone haywire. Completely white, when I try to change the Layout or the theme is shows me noise, as if the images were corrupted. Can't see anything, can't work at all.

I tried deleting the files as Richard suggested, but it got worse. I'm now installing a fresh install of the BETA to try to at least have a working version (I'm due to livestream a session in 15 minutes).

That usually means Daz Studio was still running when the new version was installed. Close daz Studio, and make sure it isn't still running in the background through Task Manager, then uninstall and reinstall.

  • Will try that, thanks Richard!

  • Can concur:  same issue as MI3DART, and Richard's fix did it.
