Where are my free items ???

I just received a "Grab Them Before They Disappear" email from DAZ. It said to log into my account and check my messages for items that would only be availble for 48 hours. I did that but there are NO messages offering free items. I also checked my product library but no extra items show up. Where are my freebies ???

Is DAZ trying to really tick me off ? I'm already irritated by the short duration of the Celebration offer. And now I can't find the offered freebies.

  • It was to your main email, not another account (I can't recall if you had to create a temporary account when the site had log-in issues a few weeks back)?

    It was to my main (and only) email. I never created any other email accounts for DAZ.

    I don't remember getting that email but since the PA Sale started about 1/2 way down the page has been a free item every day. Well, sort of, you have to spend $25 to get the free item, so not really free.

    It is not those. The email was for extra free items that would be available in My Messages for 48 hours. But I don't have any messages offering free items.

    As far as I  know that email goes to new users, so it's probably worth opening a support tikcet (if only so they can check there isn't a more serious issue with your account).

    Done !  Especially since I'm already upset about missing the celebration discounts due to their very short duration. If they say it is a glitch and I don't get them I can always spend my CG dollars at other sites 

  • Heads up ... check your Product Library. As I recall some of those types of freebies were simply added to our Accounts ... download them to keep them available in your account ;-)

    Thanks Catherine; but as I said in my original post I already checked my product library and there were no new free items there

    OK, because I'm installing a new CPU / SSD on my computer I've been busy all day re-installing 6500 DAZ 3D products in DIM. The problem was I wanted the newest version of DIM. I couldn't find it though on the DAZ web site. Instead DAZ3D.com made me sign up to download DAZ Central, which I did using my already existing account with my existing name. I did find DIM eventually by searching either Bing or Google.

    After that, almost a day later, now I got an email like yours saying I would be getting free items from DAZ 3D. I don't think I will as I think that promotion is intended for people with no DAZ Studio account. I think they must match the email you signed up for DAZ Central download with your already existing account and say "no" to the promo for you even though they still send the email. Why they don't check to make sure they don't send you the promotional emails when you get flagged as existing customers already as well, well, I don't know.

    So it's a mistake I think and we won't be getting free items from DAZ 3D.

    @ Nonesuch00: Did you fill a ticket? Whether intended or not DAZ made the offer so I would expect them to honor it.

    No, but I'll file a ticket now, because if we that get those don't complain then they won't fix it. We should get the products they promised and they should fix that advertising enticement to target the audience they intend if it's not us. No sense of needlessly disappointing customers & wasting their time.

    +++ The ticket is now filed.

    +++ I did get another eMail today about more free stuff but the coupon code given doesn't work. I appended that problem to the existing ticket.

    DAZ Customer Support contacted me & added the 4 items to me product library. Well, I already bought one of them, no suprise (D.Master's Dolly). The other 3 products are quite nice and recent too and I am glad to get them.

    They should probably fix that mistake in their code though. And for goodness sake, don't make it so hard to find the DIM program to download.
