Why Are So Many Hairs and Outfits in the People Category?

When I search for characters, I find that there are lots and lots of clothes and hairs in the People>Genesis 8 category. Categories become useless if they are not adhered to by the categorizer. Or am I missing something?

    ...I'm with you there, not just clothing and hair but sometimes vehicles and props as well which is why I only bother with the Artist category..  There was a thread about improving product categories a while back but the forums search is pretty much useless as it hits every keyword individually in your search string.

    "Genesis 8" generally means anything that is compatible with G8, not just figures.

    I do agree the store needs a massive overhaul, but people have been saying that for years, and, well...

    The G8 and G8.1 icons signify gear/utilities/morphs/poses for Genesis 8, but the human silhouette signifies People (text appears on mouse over). But some of everything gets thrown in there. I think just about any of the moderators or forumites could do a better job of categorization.

    ...supposedly there was one last fall which seriously disrupted the PC+ Anniversary Sale.  Why they seem to always pick that sale for rollout of a new storefront is frustrating.

    Try search/categories/filter on posercontent.com. It works better imho.

    Thanks, @Victor_B, I agree, but I can't limit it to purchased items.

    They gave us Encrypted Daz Connect (DRM), which is no longer in use - but it still exits. They gave us Daz Central, a poor version of DIM imo. Both, seemed pointless to me.

    The amount of folks saying better organisation of the the content, does seem to considerable, whatever that means. :)

    Are you sure?

    The amount of constant corruption in Connect installed content, could be explained if the (Connect) source files at DAZ were still encrypted

    Thanks, @PerttiA, if I were really bored and I thought it would matter, I would catalog every miscategorized as People item and post it here. There are many of them.

    It's crazy idea, but may be ask admin to implement this somehow?
    Or you don't want to share this information with thirds sites? I mean purchases. May be wishlist...

    The files on the CDN are encrypted, to protect them, but they sre decrytped (against your account somehow) on download to leave plian (or rather, compressed plain) files on disc. Sometimes the process fails.
