How to use Iray only hair with 3Delight?

in The Commons
Hi,
is it possible to use Iray only hair like https://www.daz3d.com/classic-long-hair-with-dforce-for-genesis-8-females with 3Delight? Is there a shader converter?

There's this producthttps://www.daz3d.com/rssy-iray-to-3delight-converter-and-merchant-resource. it may work. I don't have it.
It's tricky. You will need to make sure to re-apply the opacity maps (and first check what they happen to be called for that hair model) after applying the shader conversion.
Or you could go shopping for https://www.daz3d.com/hana-for-kanade-8
She comes with bonus hair shaders, for both Iray and 3DL. I've found that those apply *without* losing the opacity maps. I've also found that it's easy enough to opn up the texture files in a raster image editor and adjust the colors and save as a different color. You'll need to manualy hunt for the new colors in the surfaces tab, but it would just be hunting out the new diffuse file since the rest of the components won't be changing.
It's still not a perfect solution, but it works. I'm very grateful to ApriYSH who still includes 3DL materials for her hairs.
The hair in question still has texture maps and everything, so it shouldn't be hard (maybe pesky, if there are a lot of different layers/area of hair with different maps). I usually just convert everything to ubersurface and work my way through... I don't have timelines or deadlines or anything, though :-)
