ELEBEAST - Custom Materials

Hi, Can we use a custom texture for ELEBEAST Gen8 figure? Like can we apply the base Gen8 Male material to it? Including the trunk? If yes, then how? If no, then I made a big investment which is not worth for me at present. Thanks

You can apply any material you want to the body, but the trunk (presumably) uses its own UV map, so unless you're handy enough with Photoshop or an equivalent to hack the default male texture maps to the UV, you won't be able to match the textures between trunk and body/head.

I know photoshop. But I don't exactly understand what you are proposing. Sorry! Do you mean to say that I copy the G8 male materials/texture and paste them on to the trunk textures? What's about UV here? Actually I wanted to avoid photoshop as it may not give me the desired results. But will give it a try tomorrow.

The UV map is what tells the software which parts of the texture images should be applied to which parts of the mesh. You could definitely apply the base male textures to the trunk, but depending on how the UV is set up, it might not line up, or even correctly wrap around trunk (and it almost certainly won't unless RawArt intentionally designed it to do so, which I consider unlikely).

You would definately have to make your own textures for the trunk and feet if you want to use anything other than the textures that come with it.

Hey RawArt, Thanks for clarifying. Will try it today and see how successful I get.

    Oh yes, I got it.
  • Hey friends,

Finally with a lot of trial and error methods, I arrived at this. One is the Raw Render and the other one is Photoshop Post work

Background: Render of Hindu God Lord Ganesha or Lord Ganapati
