Genesis 8.1

I feel really dumb, but how does one get genesis 8.1? I have genesis 8, and I now have the latest daz studio. Do we buy it? I can't find her/him in the store or in my product library.

    Update your Genesis 8 Starter Essentials, 8.1 is included in it. And also update the Daz Default Resources package.

    Ok, but I thought the program updated it on its own yesterday. Does 8.1 show as a separate figure?

    Yep, 8.1 loads as a separate figure. It should be in the same folder the default 8 models are.

    Where are you looking for it?

    In Content Library, under DAZ Studio Formats, you should find it in the same folder as Genesis 8 Basic Male/Female
    Female in ...\People\Genesis 8 Female\ and male in ...\People\Genesis 8 Male\

    They are named "Genesis 8.1 Basic Female" and "Genesis 8.1 Basic Male"

    Those are the places where they will be found if you have them installed, "Products", "Categories", "Smart Content" etc. are all relying on the metadata being correct and when it's not, the products will not be seen.

    Updating Daz Studio does not automatically update the starter essentials (nor the default resources). Those must be updated separately.
