Full screen viewport problems

So i just updated to 4.7. I often use the alt+Enter command for fullscreen. While in full screen i could use the viewport control cube and standard viewport tools. now in 4.7 the controls have ceased to work. Any ideas?

    Derp! with the new dockable viewports i can just maximize it and everything works. ;)
