General Wonder and Apperciation

Every now and then, my favorite time pass has been to simply browse the store and adding items to wishlist (and wait like a hawk for a price drop).

Today, I wishlisted two things.

https://www.daz3d.com/harwood-house

https://www.daz3d.com/modern-appartment

I was looking at these two product promo images, and, I must say, I am very impressed with the amount of detail in these two products (and I am sure, there are more impressive such items in the store that I will eventually discover). So, these vendors sat down and assembled this (perhaps using merchant resources) and sculpted this (where there were no ready to use items, so, make them on their own). Then, making them look good. It's almost like watching a civil engineer at work. Then, setting up the scenes and lighting and all those settings. God knows how many hours it took.

In a pre-pandemic world where I was without debt and swimming in money, I would have bought these things at full price, so, the vendors made more money.

I will eventually buy these. Daz 3D has become like a super serious (and fairly cheap in terms of monthly expense) hobby for me, and I have to say, when I see things like this, I come across very impressed. Just wanted to say, it's great stuff ( in case these vendors are watching the forums).

    As a 3d modeler, not alot of 3D really impresses me since I know how it is made. But I can imagine what it must be like for those that have never worked in 3D to marvel at some of the 3D creations they see.

    Yeah, for me that's true so I buy a bit too many LOL

    Remember, looks can be deceiving.

    Some PAs make great-looking environments but don't bother to scale them properly, so you're left with couches twice the length of a human thigh and staircases with steps two feet tall. It's absolutely ridiculous since they are literally for sale to be compatible with Genesis figures, but they clearly aren't.

    Yes, and its surprisingly only $39.95 for all of that. Some products you almost pay just as much and they don't even compare in quality.

    Well, given who the vendor is, is anyone surprised?

    The human vendor link is awesome. I am always to buy such things. Adding that to my work diary. I cannot paint or draw but Daz3D is really helping me 'draw' things, in a way. So yeah, I am constantly buying stuff. Thank you very much.

    @FSMCDesigns

    I definitely understand this sentiment. I work in software and architect fairly complex full stack solutions. However, not everything is always complex. Even when I do something really simple, I have seen clients go all 'ga ga' over me, and looking at me like I am some digital god or Neo from The Matrix. These are CEOs and Business owners with lot of money and power. But they are impressed nevertheless. It's crazy.

    Then, I see another developer do something equally complex, I am rarely impressed. Life is a full circle, he he :P

    @PerttiA

    Ah! I am always on the look out for some good apartments. I am wishlisting this and adding this to my growing collection of apartments. Thank you for the link.

    @margrave

    I have been fortunate enough not have bought anything with such problems. However, I will keep this warning in my mind in future purchases. Thank you very much.

    Whether complex or simplistic, the sheer essence in being able to contribute to the world while we are alive via creation is remarkable. I imagine you are incredible at what you and at times are humbled by the compliments your clients give eventhough you understand how easy it was for you to provide them with the service you do. Regardless of what goes into it, you're are contributing to the world on a grand scale via the beauty that is creation.

    Godbless.

    @ParallaxCreates

    Thank you for the generous kind words :) I believe in what you said. Every time I push a code to a client or teach (I do coding tutoring too), I feel like I am indeed contributing in my own way. Knowing that my software is helping some people buy clothes from the comfort of their home or make their life easy by reducing paper work (a couple of large projects I have worked on in the past) is definitely a good feeling.

    God bless you as well :)

    Also, on a side note, I have my eye on some of your jewelry and in my wishlist. You make good designs and I feel like they will add a ton of value to some of my projects. Obviously, I dont know how hard it is to make assets, but, might I add that your jewelry items are 'too' elaborate for some scense where I need a simple look. As a regular buyer of items on Daz, might I reqauest, perhaps a 'not so elaborate' jewelry set. A few nose things, ear things, neck stuff, finger stuff. Like, not elaborate. "A Simply Jewelry Set Volume 1" Perhaps. Just my 2 cents of product feedback/suggestion.

    I recall someone saying that they made this after only having worked with modeling for 9 months, or something like that.  Quite impressive, if true.

    .. have this and the details are perfect.  Wish there were more European styled interiors as most fo my writings take place there. To much in the way of "ultra modernist" sets more commonly found in the States here in the store.

    If you come across those they need to be reported to Daz through a support ticket so they can get it fixed. If they don't know they can't fix them. There are many very simple reasons why that can be happening. It's not always because of the carelessness of a PA. It has happened to me in some of our products on more than several occasions and I had to submit an update to fix it.

    I can see that since the main reason I didn't buy the European style apt is i don't live in that area and there are too many designs in it that are European nfluenced
