Natasha for Genesis 2 Female showed up in Fast Grab.  I'm getting a vibe of Blackhearted's Girl Next Door for Victoria 3 & Victoria 4 but I can't really tell from the promo pictures, plus this character has iRay textures.  Does anyone have this character and can they comment on the resemblance to GND?  Thanks in advance.

there is a resemblance, but I highly doubt it was intentional. Besides, thanks to genX or the other transfer tools, anyone can have GND on newer figures, I do.

Which GND did you use?  GND2 Athletic, GND4.2 or GND4.3?  I have Victoria 3 and Victoria 4 buried in my runtime somewhere.

  • I have used the V3 based GND2 Athletic fairly recently. It's the glasses, mostly, I think. The hip width to waist ratio is much greater than on GND2 I reckon.

Thank you.  Yes, the glasses were the first thing that I noticed.  Were you able to get the textures converted over from V3 GND to iRay?

Honestly, the hip to width ratio being so low isn't life like to me at all.  Certainly not like any girl next to where I have lived.  That said, I think GND would be good for a science fiction android or alien character.

I get contact requests all the time from twenty something girls, looking like 'fashion' models and living within half a mile of my house (middle of nowhere).

I think one of the grannys that live within that range is using an outdated photo wink

I basically tweaked the standard DAZ Uber skin shader taken from a character and put in GND2's Tex maps in the appropriate places. Came out fairly well. See below with GND2 and Jim Burton's Glamorous Vickie,. Both are V3 based, and the image was rendered in iRay last year.

    It can be done..;).

If you wanted, as I tweaked almost every setting, I could upload a material setting duf file, and if you have the GND2 Tex maps in the default place, it should work... Just have to apply the DAZ Uber shader to all surfaces beforehand.

    Regards,

    Richard.

I used GND4.2 athletic and transferred the morphs to GF3. I didn't use the GND textures as I have found that older V4 textures don't look near as good as newer iray textures, no matter the tweaks to try and get them there. cayman studios does have a plugin that lets you use V4 textures on newer figures, but again, still not better IMO.
