And here I thought it was only a Long John Silver's Restaurant promotion.

I won't be buying anything at DAZ the rest of the month. I have to replace a car window before I sell a car and get it off my hands.

The whole pirate talk schtick can be attributed (or blamed) on Robert Newton. Its an exaggerated UK Wect Country accent..

Yarrr... sink me now... this be fine news!... and tis bout time, I've grown weary of landlubber-speak... as I've longed fer the parlance of the sweet trade these many months and felt the collywobbles lest I let loose the natural inclination of me bone box as I might when three sheets to the wind!

Well, this bouyes this ol' scallywag's spirit... to be fresh as paint, I'd fairly forgotten this day was upon us and feel a bit poked up that I should.

I best be on me way now, but keep a weather eye open and may the winds of fortune favor thee, me bucko!

    Yo-ho-ho and all that drubgroggle.

  • well you all should be well stocked with pirates by now for renders devil

Being former navy, I would rather shoot pirates and sink their ships than talk like them. I know, I'm no fun, lol.

However, I have heard that there are pirates in Canada...

  • If yesterday was "International Talk Like a Pirate Day", then is today "Wail Like A Pirate Victim" day for those of us who weren't pirates?

All the example her are of traditional Pirate speak. A more modern Pirate might say "I've almost found an exploit to get round the encryption key, when I've done that a script kiddie can copy the decoded data and sent it to lhe lamers for distrubution, ahaa!" Well, he probably wouldn't add the ahaa!

Better to talk to pirates. 12-pounders make for nice arguments.

If I would start talking like a german pirate - like maybe Klaus Störtebeker - here, nobody would understand me, I guess... laugh
