Undocked Panels, undockable Panels (groups), Multimonitor
Hi,
I am having some issues with Daz3D - I have multiple monitors and I have been having this issue for a while but usually just try to work around it - but it has finally got very frustrating.
When I have undocked panels off on another monitor, randomly (like for example when doing rendering) they will just shift and move around, and I have to reset the workspace.
If I use Undockable Panels the moving doesn't happen, however, sometimes the Undockable Panel Groups disappear. And if I try to reload the workspace the Undockable panel groups load, but then disappear again. So, I can't use them, and instead I have to start from scratch.
I am not sure what I can do to fix this, and I have tried so many things to try and keep the windows in the same way.
Also, if you use Undockable Panels the UI fonts get very small.
So wondering if anyone else has had these issues, and if they have had they hadn't luck resolving them?
Thanks
Becs

I finally gave up on floating windows. I tried stretching it out across two monitors and then sizing the sections. It works okay
What version? It works pretty well in 4.12 for me.
I have spread DS on 3 monitors, but I'm at work and don't remember the menus and choices to get it done without having DS open.
Windows->Panes (Tabs), Choose the one you want
On the 'hamburger menu'. choose 'Make Pane Undockable'
Move the pane to the Monitor you want and size as you wish (I use full screen)
"Undockable" is a deprecated feature, and is not needed now as the pane groups are less prone to unexpected docking.
Thanks everyone, but I knew how to do the undockable and undock functions - I have been playing with those for a while. What I am saying is that they are not working for me and I am not sure what is going wrong.
When using Undock Panel - if I move that to another monitor it will shift or disappear when I do something like rendering or simulation. However, Undocked Panels will save and reload when using workspace.
When using the "undockable" option, the panels will not move when doing rendering or simulation, however, if something goes wrong, and they disappear (which happens more than it should) the undockable panels will open, and then suddenly close again when you load the workspace again.
I have three monitors. One 4k as my primary, and 2x2k monitors. I am now starting to think it is because of the different screen sizes that is causing the issue, and that Daz3d just isn't able to handle the different DPI's etc. :(
Different resolutions on the monitors could have something to do with it, mine are all 1920x1200pix, 24" HP LA2405's
