Comic Style Render Question. Shader won't apply to Figure?

Hello Daz3D Luminaries,
I'm looking to create a 'comic' style outline look for characters and sets in the Daz3D scenes I've set up.
The 'Edward 8' figure is in the persective window and selected. I have 'Surfaces' tab selected.
I'm using both the 'Manga Style Shaders' (and 'Visual Style Shaders') products (I chose it for the diverse lines and screen tones.) And I can't seem to get any of the Manga Style shaders to work on Genesis 8. Is there a work around? Something I'm missing? Other options?
The eyes of the figure go 'white' and the figure is 'pale' upon Iray preview..
Any help would be appreciated.
Update! I've just switched over to 3Delight Engine. Renders the manga shaders 1st time! :)
Kyle.

Visual style shaders and manga style shaders are 3Delight shaders, not Iray ones.
Aha. I see. It's a shader style issue. I've been aware of 3Delight, but most of my tenative steps have been in Iray so far. Being a 'newbie' in Daz3D it didn't occur to me.
I'll try the 3Delight Shaders render option and see if I meet with any success.
Thank you for the response, Leana.
Kyle.
Kyle,
There are a couple of forum threads in which folks try their hand at producing comics/manga style renders. Two that I'm aware of are:
(1) More Non-photorealisitic Renders - https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/516106/more-non-photorealisitic-renders-npr-iii#latest
(2) Welcome to Anime Manga Cafe - https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/295231/welcome-to-anime-manga-cafe#latest
(3) 3D Comic Book Tips And Pictures - https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/228061/3d-comic-book-tips-and-pictures#latest
Your mileage in these threads may vary. Each person appears to have his/her own vision of comic-style images, so the tools and techniques folks
talk about may or may not suit your needs.
Cheers!
