How Would One Create A Manually Installable Product? (Search Engines Suck)
So yeah, I tried searching on Bing (because I have the MS Rewards extension on Chrome) for this and it came up with something completely different, as usual. What I mean by product is stuff that can go in the content library with DSON User Files and DAZ Scripts and PNGs and morphs and positioning and all the other good stuff. For example, a body prop like body hair. I want to make my own customized content. If I were making let's say chest hair and wanted it in the proper position on the chest instead of on the ground like a regular OBJ Import is like or different textures and material presets so I don't have to manually change everything every time I use it on a new figure. Or custom characters with textures and morphs like a Michael 8 or Victoria 8.

If you've got the asset saved properly, paths setup, dsf files, etc.
Then you can either pull the asset parts manually and put them in a zip for distribution, or you can use something like "Content package assistant"( https://www.daz3d.com/content-package-assist)
If you want to make them DIM compatible, there's a couple programs that will create the DSX files for them, or you can use a spreadsheet to do it.
Just remember that DIM only uses ZIP, not rar or 7z(or other compressed formats)
For future assets, i'd recommend putt a working directory to contain all the parts of the particular project in one place.
This would only need to be mapped in CDM and could be removed after the project is complete.
Well that program and knowing how to prep it, see Packaging Genesis Figure Morphs To Sell or Share Legacy Discounted Content Winterbrose (renderosity.com) It might not be very current but does give one a good grasp on how things are organized inside Daz and mostly still applies.
That doesn't answer my question, sorry. I would like to know what to put where in the three folders data, People (or whatever type of asset it is) and runtime. and also how a DUF can transfer a morph, material or prop (with transforms and everything) without a character. For now, I am not concerned about selling anything (perhaps eventually) and I don't want to have to buy a big long guide that I probably won't even read (like https://www.daz3d.com/forums/profile/2239525/charles said) no matter how cheap or expensive it is.
Update:
I now would like to know how I could rig a wearable/hair to not only copy the pose of the parented figure but also copy the morphs of said figure.
This is my new priority #1
(Next would be to create material and morph files)
