Can I stitch vertices in Daz Studio?

I need to create some broken limbs. When I extract the limbs from the character, there is no face in the broken part, which looks terrible. Is there a way to fill in the section?

  • No, you would need to use a modeller for this. You could use a GeoGraft to both cap the end of the cut and hide the rest of the figure, which might be simpler than having to split out unique geometry and lose the ability to update its morphs etc.

Export the model as an OBJ, edit how you want in Blender or a CAD program, save again as another OBJ and reimport that into Daz. Make sure to keep vert order and original UV. You can do this with them fully dressed too if you need to. Just make sure whatever pose you want them in you do so before the first Daz export out because when you bring it back in they will be a totally static object.

    Thank you very much!
