Black backdrop on start – how to fix it?

In DS 4.7.0.12 my backdrop in viewport is suddenly becoming black when I start DS or load any asset from the library such as Genesis figure. Simple Environment/Backdrop fixes it (as that panel has Background colour to the white colour I want) but it never sticks, and it switches back to black again if I start a new scene or load a new asset. It is very annoying.

What kind of parameters and where I need to specify to end that kind of behaviour?

Saved scenes with white backgrounds seem to load fine but again, it colour is switching back to black afterwards. I'm running Darkside theme.

Yes, I had written that when I do it the background snaps to white. But it never sticks to white and resets to black even if I load new Genesis figure from the library or open a new scene. It is annoying to fix the colour every single time and I hate black backgrounds. My question was and still is how to make it to remain white. Because the program doesn't seen to remember how do to it and always snaps back to black.

I would make a bug report on this so it can be fixed in a future version. :coolsmirk:

    Preferences>Scene

I think there used to be a "save on exit"
    I don't see it anymore.

try shutting one of the prefs in here.
Mine always comes up white, I cant work in white.

Doesn't seen to work. Even if I made an empty new scene with white background backdrop colour and set it to load on default, it comes to black anyway.

I saw no other people reporting this problem, so I wonder if it is a bug only I have.

I think what you want is Window > Style > Customize Colors...

YES! It seems to work! Yahoo! Thank you so very much!

I've changed viewport colour in that tab to white and now it is white all the time :)
