Djinneah and Djinnoah for Genesis 8 Figures

https://www.daz3d.com/djinneah-for-genesis-8-female

https://www.daz3d.com/djinnoah-for-genesis-8-male

Djinneah and Djinnoah are not just a beautiful Middle Eastern characters, but they hold a magical secret, they are also a powerful Genies.

This set comes complete with all the textures for an exotic human character, but also has a facial morph that would suit the look for a Star Trek style alien as well, plus they come with a magical gemstone shell for her forehead, and a highly posable genie tail with a large number of different tail effects.  Also included is a magical lamp, also with different metal material presets.

This character was designed with ultra-realistic skin skin techniques, using the DAZ PBRSkin shader. The High Definition morphs and High Quality textures will really bring this character to life for your renders.

I know it's a limitation of DAZ3D, but with the fleshy tail they remind me more on a worm than a Genie cool

Why? As I said, it's a limitation of DAZ.
But at least, the new iRay version supports volumens, so we can do e.g. awesome clouds or in this case, the tail of a genie wink

    https://blog.irayrender.com/post/659956485981421568/tornado-data-from-a-weather-simulation-done-on

Let's hope that DAZ implements volumens in DAZ Studio and isn't ignoring it like iRay motion blur devil

  • Could have used them bundled together...

Buying both kicks in the extra discount as they're both debut new releases (extra 10% off for non-PC+ or extra 15% off for PC+ members) - not going to get a better deal than that.

Plus that discount applies to other stuff in the cart so I got an even better deal on the category sales!

Love these genies and the different tail effects (and the versatility of having them as aliens / humans too) - Downloading now :)

Not into Genies, but the Characters themselves look damned good. Might come in handy to other kinds of renders.

Glad you are liking these guys :)

That was one of the fun things of this set, they could be human, alien, or genie...really tried to cover all the basis for versitility

I attached an image I got off the internet of what popular culture calls a "genie." Has a turban and ponytail type hair and a vest. Big, tough-looking dude with muscles. Silent Winter a couple posts above gravitated toward this look. The promo has a skinny guy and virtually no assessories. I think it would be a better sell if the promo had a more "real" looking genie. I can appreciate the issues with the tail but that can be improved with some smoke brushes in Photoshop. RawArt, you deserve a pat on the back for doing something new rather than copying what's already been done. You may want to consider a genie 2.0 that is stronger in concept and doesn't need to be kit-bashed. Silent Winter shows the potential but for me, as a buyer, it's extremely frustrating when a product is not usable out of the box and requires purchasing additional items to achieve a particular look.

In all honesty, don't you find what you are asking is somewhat unreasonable?

I make characters, not clothing. Buying clothing sets seperately for a character is not kitbashing it is simply how things are sold here. There are many clothing sets that could likely give you any look you want.

There are also many sets that can add muscle to the character if that is the look you want as well. It is far easier to add muscles to a character than to remove them, and I wanted this guy as versitile as possible.

This set is fully usable out of the box, if you have different looks you wish to go for, then you can always modify as you will D/S makes that very easy to do.

Well, the one thing virtually all PA's fail at is marketing. It would be a better sell had you used a muscular male rather than one that looks like my middle-aged neighbor. Many PA's use assessories from other products in their promo images but they never list where the items come from. Many times I do not purchase a product because I want to emulate a promo image but have no idea where the clothes and props come from (and it's usually a futile effort trying to find them). Update your promo image showing a GENIE with appropriate assessories and list what was used. A skinny guy with a goofy tail is a no sale. Show me the potential the way Silent WInter did. For me, as an artist, I want to create an image similar to the one I posted above and I can do it with Photoshop but I need the right building blocks. SHOW ME I can make a GENIE with your product and at the very least, how I can kit-bash one.

Guys, the PA's just informing everyone and creating a place to ask questions mainly, which is a rather nice thing to do - many PAs don't, right? So let's maybe not bug him with what we in his place would do or not unless he never feels like creating a thread for his products again ... wink

Marketing is what Daz does for the PA's. It's part of the 50% we pay them. There is a market for all body types and sizes. If the what's included doesn't link to the product it means that it is not sold on Daz. You aren't allow to link to offsite competing stores. It's becoming more mandatory that you have to list out everything you used in the promo's and link to it, if sold on Daz. Sometimes there isn't even mention of what was included because it's not a Daz product.

Don't get discouraged you can't please everyone, for myself I love all of your characters

  • rawart is good at showing the potential of a lot of things... there's a lot of unique characters and creative monsters in the RawArt store than I think most places!  There's more than one type of genie in the store (thank goodness we all don't want the generic 'masculine male' after all!), there's more than one kind of werewolf (for whatever wags your tail), more than one kind of medusa, more than one kind of cyclops, etc etc....

There's no right or wrong. Heck, I'm about CUTE monsters, so whatever RawArt makes I tend to "cutify" I mean I even made his cthulu cute...

I don't have the genie(s) yet (I have a lot of wishlisted RawArt chars to get first... cough... MUST.... BUY.....) but I'm sure I'll get them soon. I may have to make an adorably awkward Ollie-type genie now that some folks imply genies gotta be all masculine buff or something. ;)

Whoa there... I don't think going after a PA for having a different vision from yours is necessary at all.

Edit - Wow, DisparateDreamer! You have a great imagination! Love it.

Thanks for making the tradional genies, I know some of us in the forums had asked earlier. They look great!

I'm getting the male version and, tbh, if he had been overly muscular, there is no way I'd pick him up. I guess it is hard to please all of us at once.

You really cannot please everyone...but what I try to do is to make things like this as versitile as possible to that people will have an easier time in shaping things to their idea.

All I did was use the Genesis 8 body morphs for 'upper arm bigger' and 'forearm bigger' then add a little bit of Ollie 8 to the head for fun. ... that's all (okay, I also clicked on the tail effects presets that come with the genie product itself). The outfit is just the top from https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-brahim-for-genesis-8-males (along with its texture set) and the forearm armour is from the Leo outfit ( https://www.daz3d.com/12-constellation-warriors-series--leo-for-genesis-81-male-and-michael-81 ) though any forearm armour would work.

I'd rather a character I can make look different - these genies both offer a great base for that. In the above Djinnoah pic, I was going for a Jafarr-from-Aladdin genie, but I want others too (not to mention the aliens and human versions too)

  • I have no idea why threads for RawArts stuff sometimes get so acrimonious. Really baffling.

Anyway, I really like the looks of these. The sculpt is (as always) amazing. And even though I don't really think that I need a Genie, it seems versatile enough that I might pick it up later.

  • This is a promotional thread for a particular product. While some feedback may be welcome, and usage questions are fine, it is not the place for a general discussion of what a makes a "real" whatever-it-may-be. A number of posts have been removed to avoid the disruption or because they were getting overly personal.

    Thanx Richard

  • Cute genies still incoming ... ;)

  •  All I'm going to say I'm always in need of more Middle-Eastern or Indian looking characters and those figures are gorgeous even if may never use any djinni parts with them.
