3D Printing with Gen 8 and 8.1 mods

So I was trying to think on how to make money from the stuff I purchased from the daz store. Alot of the stuff I buy I use for spisific characters in my series Mages (I'm not sure if I'm going to make it a tv or movie series or a videogame but I love the 3D video game art style anyway) So then it hit me why dont I 3d print the mods in figures and sell them. But I've never used a 3d printer before and I'm not sure if its even possible to use with daz mods. I have seen some forums about 3d printing but I was hoping someone could explain the step my step process on how they would go about printing a daz mod into a figure. I'm new to this and I'm not sure if I want to invest in a 3D Printer if I cant use it.

In case you don't know, the standard EULA for Daz content only allows 3D printing for personal, non-commercial use. You would have to contact Daz and negotiate a commercial 3D printing license with them if you intend to sell printed figures.

Do they have something I can pay for like the interactive license or should I just not bother continuing with this idea at all and just stick to things like 2D prints. Vroid has a 3d print option right in there render import page so I might look into that it's just that they dont have any clothes that I can work with right now. They should be getting new stuff in the stable version but it got pushed back again.

There's no 3D printing license available in the store like interactive one. But it is possible to get one from Daz directly, you'd need to contact them via a support ticket.
I imagine that part of the reason why there's no direct option for that in the store is that the price would depend on how many pieces you plan to sell.

  • Lena is right you need to contact Daz support. You also need to list assets you want to use some don't belong to Daz the company but to other content creators.
