Poses not categorized in Smart Content

I had a computer meltdown recently and seem to have all my data back and am close to being able to get back to work again. My only two hang ups are a couple of workflow issues hopefully someone can help me with.

When I set up a pose, I'll typically pick a pre-set that's close or similar to what I'm looking for and re-work it. If my character is sitting, I'll go to Smart Content>Poses>By Function>Sitting and then I'm off. My problem now is that the By Function list is incomplete and the options under it don't contain anywhere near the amount of poses I have. I tried to select the individual poses and categorize them (attached) but it doesn't seem to do anything. I had the same issue with this a few months ago when I got a new computer. I never got an actual answer on how to fix this because the Daz Fairy came to visit and suddenly everything re-appeared on its own.

I'm having a similar problem with character customization. For instance, I load Victoria8 and want to give her Freja8 eyes. Materials>Iray>Eyes but no Freja Eyes. She's in my Content Library so I can go the long way but i want to browse my eye library and find the right shade or whatever.

So basically, how do I get my content library to reflect in Smart content? Especially for Materials and Poses. The rest I've gotten used to just using Content Library.

If anyone has any help, I'd really appreciate it. This is always such a nightmare.

Perhaps go under products and re-install them all section at a time? "Action" "Combat" "Exercise" "Running" ect? Does that just install them in Smart Content? Or does that re-install them on my computer and take up space that those poses already occupy? Please say it's the first one :P

Have you tried re-importing the metadata? From the Content Library tab, right-click, Content DB Maintenance -> Re-import Metadata. Could take a while if you have a lot of products. You could do batches at a time in DIM if you filter by install date, or SKU range. Again, right-click on one of the selected and choose Re-import Metadata -> All Selected.

Ugh! No I didn't! I kept thinking there had to be some sort of "Do it all!" command. I kept trying "Update Metadata" thinking that might be it but it didn't populate it. Thank you for that. Worked like a charm! It's all back!!
