Please help,
This is Storm for G8 and I'm having this issue with the eyes they render very dark. No matter what eyes I use from any model they are dark like this.
Does anyone know what could be causing this?
Any help is greatly appreciated,
Thanks

Might be the scalp or cap from the hair. I see that coming out of the forehead, once in a blue moon it causes the eyes to be a little darker for me too. Try scaling it down to like 99% or so and see if it helps. Good luck!
Could be a result of this known bug.
tl;dr things get weird when your character is positioned too far from the origin point (0,0,0). Place your character as close to the origin as possible, then translate the environment to where you need it.
As the above user mentioned, it seems your hair cap is also too small for your character's head. Find the hair object in the scene tab, go to parameters, and see if you can adjust the size of the hair cap using sliders. Going into "smooth shaded" view will give you a better look at whether the hair cap is sized correctly.
It is a problem with the eyes. I temporarily solved it by loading another G8M figure's eyes and holding down Command/Control and telling the dialog not to change the textures. I will submit a ticket.
Sorry to revive a dead topic, but I am having this same issue with the Storm model and nothing I change on Surfaces seems to fix it (though I may have missed something), nor does trying to use other eye textures from other characters.
Did anyone figure out a solution to this?
[Note: I have not put any hair on him yet so it is not related to that]
Edit: Finally fixed it with another character's eye textures, but it took trying several characters before it worked. I can only assume that the one I used (Sten HD's) changed some setting that most eye materials don't? I would still like to figure out what it is for the future.
I resolved this by either scaling the eyes up or down by 1%, or by removing/zeroing any displacement maps. Sometimes it helps to reset the eye moisture and cornea to a simple refraction of 1.25 and nothing else.
