So, still [messed up] eh?

I'm sure the Daz folk are feverishly trying to get this resolved; I'd hate to think what it's costing them. But does Daz NOT own their own servers or is this outside of their system?
Didn't this happen last years as well?
Perhaps Daz could send out a blanket e-message when it's all back up?

No idea what is going on, but of the about 12 items that I tried to download via DiM all came back as download failed.. The last time something like this happened it was not as bad, this time around though it seems to be more wide spread..
But it is starting to get a bit frustrating, as there were some things I bought that I want to use but can not, because they wont download..
Agreed. This is nuts. I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it - like you can litteraly spend money and there appears to be no way to currently actualy get the product you paid for, and it seems like this situation has now lasted for at least two full days.
Happened to me last night, then I went to bed thinking it would be fixed in the morning. Surprised it's still down.
I get that it's the weekend, but online stores are never closed. If people can buy from the store, then the product should be usable.
I know the moderation team has done all they can by notifying the web team of the issue. But the web team should issue a statement of acknowledgement that they are working on the issue. That would go a long way. Because as it stands right now, it could be assumed they might not even be aware of the issue until Tuesday, because of the long weekend.
In weird way, glad to hear this is not a problem with my computer or network. I've had so many problems with updates, and outages, I thought, "oh, no, not that again!" I hope we are able to download soon. I don't get that the former Columbus Day now Indigenous Peoples day is a day off for retail sales. When I was working, it never was a day off, just an excuse for another 'sale'.
If people don't buy anything because they can't download their purchases, then something will surely happen quickly. There should be a banner in the store warning customers that their purchases will be not be delivered until further notice.
Well, at least we aren't being inundated with sales mails. ;)
I noticed a lot of postings on the problem last night as well, posted a "just wait & see what the moring brings" message, and then promply forgot my own warning & bought a couple items from my wishlist as the price as really good. Doh!
And yes, PR isn't one of Daz's strong suits.
But, again, why don't they have their own servers for this? Or do they?
One plus, forcing me to revisit older items. Found one or two I forgot I bought.
I transfered a Carrara scene from my Win7 to my Win10 then realised I hadn't installed the stuff I used with DIM on that computer yet
so of course now it cannot find the texture maps
Have it hanging while I search my Zips files over my Wifi network in my downloads on my other computer to copy over and manually install
damn apparently the Woodland Dancer doesn't have Woodland in the zip name or at least it cannot find it
no results for dancer
DIM zips are weirdly named
oh but yay that one now has downloaded in DIM just 3 fails of things I haven't used
Weirdly I can download things through my product library that I bought before yesterday but not the spotlight item I bought yesterday. Most odd.
I tried a manual download of the zip file for Climbing Trees and got this message...

sounds like DAZ didn't pay the bill
Some new products and sales just went live on the store, yet this issue isn't fixed yet. I'm really started to get irritated.
Not FUBAR, SNAFU.
There is however a way to get the product, which is "installing" it directly inside Daz Studio. I believe this is called Daz Connect, to download the product directly in Daz Studio.
The problem of DIM and Daz Central must be resolved quickly however. This is unacceptable.
Probably a safe bet that DAZ doesn't want this happening either and are trying to find a solution. Gotta love customers
When we have some news we will post to this thread https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/524986/dim-won-t-download-new-purchases#latest
(To answer the original question, as far as I am aware the downloads are hosted on a CDN and Daz does not own that but pays for a service.)
