How do I save limits?

Working with an old figure that did not have proper limits set.  I went through each dial and determined proper morph limits.  I saved the scene file, that's all well and good.  What is the proper way to just save the limits parameter info into my content library for that figure so when if loading the figure new from scratch, the icon can be clicked and set for the figure?  So far nothing I've tried has worked.

  • You could save a Character preset and use that to load the figure, instead of the standard preset, if this is a Genesis (or other native Daz Studio figure). You could also use File>Save As>Support Assets>Save Modified Assets but that can then be overwritten by an update/reinstall.

Figure is really old - expressive snowman.  I ended up saving as a figure/prop asset under support assets.  At least it's not a scene which needs to be merged into any other scene.

As an alternative, you could save it as a scene subset and just load it from that all the time.  Scene Subsets can be loaded into a scene without issue.

I do this for Genesis 2, 3, 8 and 8.1figures, both as blank meshes and as each of my girls.
