Weird Question About PGADMIN3

So this is a question that the guy who works on my computer wants me to ask.  He said that Daz apparently uses something called PGAdmin3, and it is currently using version 1.18.  However, he says that there are much newer versions of this available.  He wants to know if there is any way to update it (for security purposes) without breaking Daz.  Obviously, if there isn't, we'll just leave it alone, but he likes for everything to be current so that it's more secure.

Does anyone know anything about this?  Thanks in advance!

That is related to  Postgres and you should probably not mess with it: it's the database managemnet system (DBMS) that powers smart content and a coupl eof other things within Daz Studio and although any upgrades SHOULD be ok it'll probabbly be best to leave it as it is, in case any strange errors occur so that you know both you and Daz tech support are both working on known and same versions.

Thank you very much, sounds like very good advice!  I'll leave well enough alone.
