Landscapes
I am trying to creat a scene that has a landscape going toward the horizon showing a vast world. I download the Skies of Gaia because it shows that but it is only the skies ( that's cool, I need that too) but how do I get the landscape? Is that a model environment or an HDRI? I'm trying to achieve something like this attached image.

Skies of Gaia is just an HDRI collection.
If you're like Rich Evans and you want so many vistas, check out Andrey Pestryakov:

Or, if you'd like to learn to make your own (and maybe even sell them in the Daz Shop one day), CGBoost recently put out a (paid) course for making environments in Blender.
Try one of these

Chris,
Howie Farke's Ultrascenery is brilliant for close up landscapes and his forthcoming XT extension will handle the backgrounds.
The XT extension will also work with other scenic sets. Unfortunately, it won't be available for a while yet but it's something to consider for the future.

Cheers,

I have Skies of Gaia Vol 2 and know for a fact that it also contains HDRIs with distant mountains, like in that promo. Look again!
