I hope someone has a solution to this because I am stymied. I have Virtual World's "My Messy Hair for G8F". Seems to load up fine and I can use the styles presets in the content library, but when I click on any of the 22 hair color presets I get the message " File could not be found : data/virtual_world/my messy hair/vw messy hair/uv sets/virtual_world/base/default.dsf" and that there was an error reading the file. I checked the files location and there are not 22 material presets, only four showing. I'd appreciate any help. Thank you!

Does the hair not change anyway? Unless it has alternative UVs it probably needs the defaults, which should still be there even with the error on loading.
Yes, I get the error but as I expected the materials do seem to apply correctly.
As far as I can see there is a problem with a path:
They don't apply for me either, maybe it depends on whether it's the Content Library (which I use) or Smart Content / Connect they're loaded from.
There is no such file (" File could not be found : data/virtual_world/my messy hair/vw messy hair/uv sets/virtual_world/base/default.dsf") in the Runtime/textures/ for Virtual Worlds. Also, I misspoke above, there are 6 hair color files, but they do not work from the links in the content library, but can be applied manually. However, the content list on the product page lists 22 files. ? Is there a way to fix this? Shouldn't there also be 16 more texture files?
From what I can see, the default base file cannot be accessed, and in fact i don't see it in the contents after I manually downloaded it and unzipped it. It should be there though if the hair loads with a texture. Right?

Presets obviously have the wrong path to the UV's
That means you haven't selected the correct parent (root) when applying the preset
Yeah, I do see those files in the unzipped files. Any clue on how to fix the path, or does this require contacting Virtual Worlds?
You should send a ticket, but it may take some time to be fixed.
If you want to fix the presets yourself, you would need to open the preset files in Notepad++ and correct the paths inside those files.
The preset files may be compressed and if they are, they can be opened and uncompressed in 7-Zip with "Open Archive"
This should certainly be reported to support, especially if the presets are not aplying for you.
I guess I'll open a ticket with them. Did they not test this product before they accepted it?
I sent in a ticket. I really don't have the experience to confidently fix the paths myself. But I do have a bit o' patience.
I see all 22 presets (product installed with DIM), so there must be something wrong with your installation:
22 presets do not mean that there are 22 texture files
Yep, I have all those presets in my content library as well. However, when I click on them I get an error message. I installed with DIM as well and the hair and shapes work fine. I also uninstalled and reinstalled it manually just to see if that helped...same result. Do they work for you?
No, but I checked that as the first thing, and they're all there.
No, none of them works for me either.

They're all there too:
Therefore there aren't 22 texture files, as I said.
No, that's correct.
