Open the menu for the Content Library (the little icon in the corner, or right-click the tab) and go to "Content Directory Manager". Under "Daz Studio Format", is it still pointing to the folder where all your Daz files are located? If it is, you should be able to access all your stuff through the Content Library. If it isn't, do it manually and check to see if the stuff pops up.

As to fixing the problem, just saying "register some plugins" is extremely unhelpful. Is one of those plugins some sort of metadata editor or content browser that might've messed up your install? Because that's the sort of thing people need to know to fix this.

  • hmm thank you and will try to do what you said and best then to show a video of the issue and maybe then it be helpful instead of my poor english

  • k this is the wierdest sh*** as suddenly logged in  (thank goodness didnt delete anything) as suddenly the iytems all appeared without me doing anything other then a refresh on the content library section

praying this issue dont occur again as reinstalling 2000k items aint fun :P

btw if ever does happen does my worked on project become corrupted too (obviously back it after every work).. or all will be fine once i reload all the items back in daz...

Don't post a video. We would need to see your installed plugins window, and I think that'll show your license keys.

For starters, just tell us what plugins you registered.

I recommend saving out presets like poses, lighting, and shaping presets for everything, rather than working on one big scene file. That way, you don't have to worry about your project getting corrupted.

  • oh wow k but for like one animation scene that can be 10 different save files for that one animated scene... one save for the character the wearables lights etc..(is that what you mean)

thank you and will back it up too

All the products you see in the store are made up of presets that PAs saved out. Some of them have hundreds of presets for material settings alone. Using presets is just how Daz Studio works best.

Especially since you don't have to wait ten minutes (or more) for a single scene with multiple figures to load at once.

If you use the Content Directory Manager I mentioned above, you can add and remove folders on your hard drive to the Content Library. Then just create folders to store your project presets and click "Refresh" when you change anything.

  • understood and thank you. So will create files and folders for all presets on the project; characters/light etc...

The scenes and scenes subset folder are in the top level of the DAZ Studio content library. Navigate there in Windows File Manager and if it's there you'll see it must be your DAZ Studio/DIM installs are incorrect. If not there, when a drive is failing or sleeping.
