Please FIX Guerrillero Outfit (pants triggers auto-fit with G8M)

Hi all,

I recently purchased the Pablo 8.1 bundle that includes the guerrillero outfit.

The outfit is advertised to work with both G8M and G8.1M. However, when I try to put the pants on the default G8M it triggers the auto fit window as if it isn't supported. All other pieces of clothing work fine, it's just the pants.

I'll issue a ticket when I'm in the mood... too lazy now.

Cheers.

  • We can report this, but I expect the fix will be to remove the reference to Genesis 8 from the description. You can make the item work on Genesis 8 Male directly by loading it without the figure selected (or cancelling any AutoFit Dialogue) and using Edit>Figure>Scene Identification to set the preferred Base to Genesis 8 Male.

    Hi Richard,

Thanks for the reply. I hope the fix is not the one you're expecting. Cancelling the auto-fit dialogue doesn't work with figures with morphs (at least the one I tried). I will try changing the identification and see how it goes. Do I have to save the pants somehow? If so can you remind me how?

    Cheers.

if all the other parts of the outfit work with both 8 and 8.1 except for the pants, then wouldn't that be an issue that needs to be fixed rather than change the description?

Load your figure. Don't not select the figure, but load the pants. With the pants selected go to the hamburger menu at the upper right of the scene tab (four horizontal lines with a triangle (arrow)).  Select Edit/Scene Identification. Next to Preferred Base (bottom of window that opens), click the button with the three dots next to it and then migrate to Genesis 8/Male and click Accept. Then right click on the pants in the scene tab and "Fit to" Genesis 8. You can then save them back to your library, just make sure you name them something different if you still want them to fit 8.1 male ;).

Hope this helps. I'm not the greatest at giving directions. LOL

    My thoughts precisely.

You could save it as a new asset, but simply saving it as a Scene/Scene Subset will work (and would still get the benefits of any other fixes from updates, which wouldn't be the case with saving a new asset).
