Anyone heavily use "Hide Product from Listings"?

Does anyone make heavy use of the "Hide Products from Listings" feature of the Daz Deals Plugin?

A lot of times I'll choose a Category in the Store and filter by "% Off" or "Price Low to High" to just more quickly see what's on sale that I'd actually be interested in, and have gotten so fed up with wading through Outfit Texture Products that I will never buy, that I started going into each one and hitting the "Hide Product from Listings" button. I thought, "This is going to take forever, but it'll be worth it..."

After maybe 20-30 products I started to notice that now it seems to take waaaaaaay longer for that Category's Product list to populate. I'm looking at blank Preview images with loading symbols for 10 or 15 seconds.

I just wanted to ask if any others have gone through and taken care of this kind of Listing Annoyance (which should be doable through the stores native filters in my opinion) to any major extent and whether I'm headed toward making my browsing unbearable in a totally new way before I go any further...

No, quite often I actually like the outfit textures, but just didn't get to buying them yet. And since they're generally a lot cheaper than other products, I save them for discounts that say something like "2 for X discount, 3 for even bigger discount" and add them as a second or third item to 1 or 2 items I really like from the sale. Quite often, the total ends up slightly cheaper than the 1 or 2 products without the added outfit texture.

I also make extensive use of the Wishlist feature (about 3,000 items in my wishlist that I'm interested in, though in varying degrees), and when looking through some list, I tick the "show wishlist only" box from the Daz Deals browser add-on. This generally sizes down a list of products by about 90% already, which helps a lot finding the interesting bits as well.

I use it a lot for hiding Starter Bundles where I have bought the Pro Bundle and when a Bundle comes out that contains older items that I already own to stop me buying twice. I have not noticed any slow down in browsing/searching.

I have used it to hide Starter Bundles, but found that they seemed to return to view after a time, so stopped bothering. I'm not sure I have noticed any imopact on speed.

I tried doing that too, for the same reason--only the system seems to forget every single item I selected for "do not show" as soon as I leave the site. They're ALL back when I open the site up the next day. I've given up trying to hide anything anymore.

Thanks for the insights, everyone. I didn't go any further and I guess it sounds like it won't really save what I'd already hidden permanently, so I'll just forget about it. Thanks again!
