Status bar

I'm guessing this is just a terminology issue (DAZ calls it something other than a "status bar"), but I can't figure out what this community calls it (I have seen it described as a "status bar" in some posts), so can't find any advice around what to do when it disappears. I'm talking about the toolbar that so many applications have along the bottom of the screen, providing basic info, and that my DAZ installation used to have...it would say things like "updating metadata". It's gone, and restoring saved layouts doesn't bring it back, nor can I find any mention of it anywhere after trawling through the window and toolbar menus.

What does DAZ call it? How do I get it back? I'm probably missing something obvious, but I've tried for a long time now...I figured perhaps by calling this thread "status bar", any users with this problem in future (the disappearance of a UI element that they think of as a "status bar" but that seems to have some other name in the DAZ menus) might find the solution here, if someone can provide it.

    It is called Status Bar

When I right click on it that is the name it gives.

  • Right-click on any tool bar will give the emnu for shwoing the Status Bar - if you don't have any you will need to enable at least one by right-click on its name in the Activities tab of Window>Workspace>Customise.

Thank you! That did the trick (enabling a tool bar, then right clicking on the tool bar).
