Foot-plant plugin?

I am wondering if there is a product for Daz that will take a general pose I have created and adjust it to plant the feet(or foot) on the ground and/or balance the figure out to make it look stable?   I can manually do this, but always end up messing up the pose's other elements, and rarely plant the feet so that they aren't poking though the ground.   I am fairly good with the "active pose" tool,  (I wish the gizmo would stay on.)

There is a free script called mcjAutolimb2015 that will sort of do that, however what you're looking for is called inverse kinematics and it's a major sore spot for many Daz users that this program, which is allegedly suitable for animation, doesn't have a proper IK system to make good animation with.

There maybe others out there but have you looked at Ultimate Pose Master?  It does quite alot but im not sure if it does specifically for what your asking.

Pilning WalkIt which some use might help, it's a thirdparty plugin so I cannot link it, I have never used it but it's actually an animation tool where foot prints are placed for the feet.

Try change pin option in Windows>Panes(Tab)>Tool Setting from Origin to end Or Both .

Last time I`ve tried , its work perfectly with G1 and G2 figures but keep sliding when used for G3 and G8 figures .

Yes, that's really useful, I used it a bit in some projects. It's not perfect (it tends to make the walks a bit rigid) but very good to make a good base.

That's certainly something I don't understand. There are people who at the beginning of a sentence praise DS for its animation functionality, but at the end of the same sentence and after a comma, lament its poor results.

  • There is an add-on called LimbStick by 3D Universe that may do what your after. I haven't used it as of yet, but as the name implies, it sticks a hand or foot to a target. I suppose one could place target obgects, (e.g. small planes) Then by moving the planes, create a walk or whatever movement. May be worth looking into.
