Extruded text/fonts within Daz

Is there a script to add fonts and text into Daz?
I usually use Photoshop to create a text obj file but I wish there was something within Daz to do the same thing that would use my system fonts.
Save me a few steps. If I could open the text object's properties within Daz and change its font and style, (and smoothing) that would be really nice.
If Photoshop could be be invoked within Daz that would work too...
It would be nice to have a text icon or pane and simply add text to a scene.
It seems like something that should already exist.
You search for 'text' in the Daz store and you get "textures" and a few products that give you pre-made text.
A text/extrude plugin is needed.

there was a plugin, I don't know if it still is available
but
Hexagon has a bridge
shame I missed the typo
Just use Blender.
You can make pretty much any text you want with any font on your operating system into an obj file in like two minutes.
As Wendy says, Daz Hexagon will do it - Daz Studio won't without a plug-in.
Whatever you use, make sure you don't leave the front face of the letters as a single polygon with many edges - it will make a mess when rendered, bridging over any counters or bowls that should be left open and probably filling in the serifs.
I can't find my way around Blender (i am lost when i open it) or Hexagon, but I can export obj files from Photoshop though, it does a great job extruding system fonts and exporting them as obj files.
I just add an uber Iray shader base to the front once imported into Daz.
But if I want to switch the font, I need to go back to Photoshop and start the process all over again. It seems a text/font script plugin is sorely needed within Daz.
That is very nice Wendy!
Once it is in Daz can you take it back into Hexagon to tweak it?
yes the bridge goes both ways
and as to the ngons, easily fixed by triangulation
