Since Studio 4.7, I am unable to categorize my stuff under my self made categories. :O
Is there something I should tick on or something?

Are you still using CMS/Valentina, if so, make sure that it is a running process.

You can restart it from Start > All Programs > DAZ 3D if it isn't running.

I can categorize and CMS works fine :)
It just won't let me select my own categories anymore :(
I'll fiddle with CMS tomorrow, perhaps the issue is with that afterall somehow...

When you say "select your own categories", do you mean stuff you categorized before is fine, but you can't categorize new stuff? That sounds like a corrupt Valentina database.

    Exactly that!
    Darn.
Is the way to solve it the same as the "old" method?

If you are still using CMS/Valentina, then you need to get rid of the old db files, and reimport the Metadata and your own User files.

Once you have done that, it should work again. The best solution, in my opinion, is to use the new PostgreSQL db system which you can install from DIM, and transfer the old Valentina stuff over to it. It is much more stable, and seldom gives problems.

I have tried to get it to work but the conversion installer in DIM shows it's 0 bytes and when I unzip it, it indeed shows there are no files there.
    I already installed the PostgreSQL.
There is also an option to "migrate old content database" in Studio, but when I click that it gives me this error in the error log:

WARNING: Database Migration Error - Could not open database file: C:/Users/Estroyer/AppData/Roaming/DAZ 3D/Studio3/Content
WARNING: Database Migration Error - Error connecting to old database
WARNING: QSqlDatabasePrivate::removeDatabase: connection 'DzOldContentDatabaseConnection' is still in use, all queries will cease to work.

The Migrate command in DS is for DS3 to DS4, not for Valentina to PostgreSQL. Usually if the Valentina to PostgreSQL conversion fails it's because the database was on the cusp of corruption. If you haven't customised just reimport your metadata (Content Library pane option menu>Content DB Maintenance, check reimport Metadata and hit Accept twice). If you do have customisation you may be able to salvage it by closing DS, uninstalling PostgreSQL, starting DS, opening the Content DB Maintenance dialogue, checking export User Data, click Accept, then close DS, reinstall PostgeSQL and finally reimport Metadata as above.

I am terribly sorry, but I am still at a loss at as to how it works :(
I see there is a PostgreSQL valentine conversion download in DIM.
When I download it and try to unzip it, it's zero bytes...
I am not even sure IF my database is corrupt because usually when it is, the search function fails to work as well and that is still intact.

PostgreSQL is like an alien thing to me, I have no idea how it works and what it wants me to do in order to get it to work.
    I already reimported metadata.
So far all my categories are not custom but I learned to install everything into separate folders with DIM right from the start after I've had weeks of work lost to me twice. I add the folders through the content directory manager.
But some stuff has both Genesis 1 and 2 (just to name something) so I need to split things like that by categorizing, but when I click right mousebutton and choose "create a category" it only shows my default, Reality and a random theme category.

    I added a screenshot.
You'll see a row with M5, V5, G2M etc. those are my own paths I installed my content and that I added with the content directory manager.
those don't show up when I want to categorize my stuff :(

I apologize if I have misunderstood your problem, but are you perhaps confusing content directories with categories? Content directories are physical folders on your hard drive. Categories are are like tags assigned to the assets in the content directories.

Another possibility is that your categories were created under the Default category and you need to expand the Default category to see the sub categories. I always create my custom categories that way (i.e as sub categories under Default).

The conversion utility doesn't actually install anything - it does the conversion when you "install" it. However it can fail because the database is damaged enough to throw it, but not damaged enough to stop the CMS from populating the various lists inside DS.

Yes Barbult, I know the difference :) I just wanted to explain myself a bit better ^^
I will try to repair the database again and hope it works then.
Also, I don't get a pop-up menu anymore when I click my right mouse button when I select a prop or figure in my scene since 4.7
Not sure if that's related to the 4.7 upgrade by the way.
