Looking for a long (very long) braid hairstyle, (not topknot)

The title says most of what I need, I need a braided hairstyle preferably for genesis 8 female that is tightly braided and thick, not really loose around the head because it is for an elf character that has normal elf ears, not ones that stick out like donkey ears. And I want her ears visible, also I would like it as long as possible since the character in question has hair that is actually longer than she is tall. Also, hair makers, is there a problem with making braids that go down from the base of the skull instead of being a topknot style thing? I don't think I have seen any single braids that are as I describe, they all seem to be really messy and short or topknots. The only one I remember being as long as I need and the style I need is the Cytherea braid from back in the V3 days and that was always too thin and had posing issues. And even it was not exactly what I wanted.

Ruled it out? I didn't even know about it it won't work for the character I am looking for, but it is something that I can use on a different character, thanks for pointing it out to me.
Hmmm, I have 3 of the 5 you linked to and two of them are too short and the other I forgot I had lol, but it covers her ears so isn't exactly what I am looking for, the other two are going on my wish list because I apparently missed seeing them when they came out. I can never have too many braided hairstyles since they work best for warrior types. Thanks for pointing them out.

How I missed this one I don't know, it is almost exactly what I need without all the extras, wish I knew if the braid end had an unbraided option... I guess I'll find out when I actually get to buy it. Thanks for pointing this one out to me this one might be the one I need.
Sorry I took so long to reply, and thank you all for taking the time to look for these for me and get the links to post, I appreciate it. (I still think we need more longer thick braid hair that is not a topknot style though.)
And I just noticed that it is for V4... That kinda makes me sad, Not sure how it would work on Genesis 8.

I have converted a lot of V4 hair to Genesis 8 and they work fine, although naturally some are old, low poly, textures with burnt in specular etc, so don't look the same as modern hair.
I used this: https://www.daz3d.com/rssy-hair-converter-from-victoria-4-to-genesis-8-female but there are other ways of getting V4 hair onto G8F, for example by just parenting to the head and then scaling. I think for this long braid hair that would remain the best option, as I suspect it has a lot of customs bones and these will be lost when converted to G8F conforming hair.
There's no unbraided version of the braid end included. You might be able to kitbash one from the various pieces though.

The hair base autofits fine to G8F base figure using the V4 option (I think that option is from a purchased script though, not a default DS option), otherwise I guess it can be parented. The braid is separate so can be used with other hairs, V4 autofit mess it up so it must be parented to the base or to G8F. I also tried to remove the braid end with the geometry editor, and make it longer, I guess you can remove the braid instead if you want. I've used OOT's IrayPair shader here.

As it is a G3 hair, using the scene identification, it can be made to fit G8 without autofitting (and loosing the bones)
I too have had a hard time finding good braids. The problem with these really old hairs is that if you aren't painting over them in post, they look quite awful when put into a scene with a newer model with more detail and better textures.
