Adbc - lovely space scene
spuddy - beautifully done scene.
adbc - great space scene, awesome colours and light.
mermaid, Horo : thank you.
Thank you all for the comments.

Horo - I do like the way the eyes are drawn towards the lighthouse by way of the godrays.
Spuddy - Going overboard with -yet another- object is one of the pittfalls of Bryce. We've all done it one time or another. That said, it doesn't distract from the fact that this is a very beautifull scene with lots of atmosphere.
adbc - Your space scenes always remind me of the golden era of sci-fi art, the 1970 - 1980's. Very well executed and the addition of groundmist is a masterstroke!

From the Galactic handbook
Warthog IV
Warthog IV -or Wart for short- is often described as a dreary planet of little or no importance.
However, Wart is home of the Cawa plant which only grows here.
The planet has very little rainfall and seas or lakes are absent while little freeflowing waterstreams are rare.
As per decree, only small rural villages are permitted on-planet and practically the entire population has found work handpicking Cawa leaves or are working in one of the many breweries.
Each village has its own Cawa brewery.
Cawa, a mildly stimulating hot drink has a very distinct flavour and is appreciated by almost all citizens all over the Gaean reach.
Attempts to grow the Cawa plant on other planets always meets with disappointing results.
Every village is a very tightknit community, is completely self sufficient and independent of all other villages.
The profit of Cawa sales is devided equally among the villagers.
There is no form of government the general consensus being that "Rulers eat too much and work too little".
Only Cawa fields far removed from the villages are harvested and pickers are commuted to the fields each day by a village bus.
The only -nameless- spaceport on Warthog IV serves mainly as an transshipment port for Cawa and is frequented by several specialised transport firms.
There is no customs or traffic control, pilots are cautioned to make a carefull approach.
Most villages welcome interested travelers and Cawa connaisseurs but will be reluctant to give tours of the Cawa fields since one misstep can ruin an entire crop.
Terrain is selfmade with tiled material scaled up for good measure.
The village is a number of freebies as is the -rather nice retro-future- bus.
It has been a very busy week and on top of that I had two renders going that just weren't up to standard no matter what I tried so in the end, after a lot of fruitless fiddling- I sent them to def-0 with pain in my heart.
This one however, like all good renders, made itself while playing around with terrain-editing settings. I just love it when that happens.
Rembrandt - thank you. Very nice render with the double moon and the light by the bus. I particularly like the reason why the citizens have no rulers.
Rembrandt : thank you. Impressive image, beautiful sky, village and bus fitting very well in the landscape, great story as well.
Rembrandt - beautiful render, I would love to live in a place without a government as you said "Rulers eat too much and work too little", nice story.
In front of the camera the GWL (Gigantic Wide-angle Lens). The VAW-City is by drachenlords, around it a fading mirror box. A big sphere around the camera with some bump. Light and backdrop by the m16eagle HDRI. A city world trapped in cosmic strings within the Messier 16 Eagle Nebula.
Wow Horo, amazing abstract, I love it.
mermaid - thank you. I made it as a space scene but nothing wrong with seeing it as an abstract.
Mesa Crossing was made 3/4 years ago and when I looked at it I thought it might make a good 3D anaglyph - and now here it is.
Horo - the anaglyph is superb. I've being playing with Abstracts these past few days, but nothing worth sharing. You have shared some amazing ones during the past few weeks
I started this for the Underground challenge following the tutorial from Horo’s site (minitut15), then I realized I have a similar one on Pinterest, so changed it to the Private Chamber.
Horo : awesome abstract/space scene, beautiful cosmic colours.
Mesa Crossing : excellent anaglyph.
mermaid : wonderful scene, great lighting, very well done.
A space/fantasy scene, the robot and spaceship are free objects from the net, the building was modeled in wings years ago.
mermaid - cave came out nicely, good lighting.
adbc - thank you. Very nice space/fantasy scene. Great Wings model.
Thank you all for the comments.
---
Horo - That city spacescene has a very mandala-like feel to it. It is very nice to look at and technocally very clever! I don't have those green/red glasses any more so anaglyphs are a bit beyond me alas but even so, Mesa crossing looks spectaculair.
Mermaid - The lighting in your cave is very neatly done. It looks very authentic.
adbc - Where are all the flying cars and robots they promised us 50 years ago? Fortunately you seem to have a firm grip on the future with this very well done and crisp render. Nice!

From the Galactic handbook
Appalachia
The planet Appalachia was discovered in 1279 by Tibald Hoplinger, a locator from Maas. Hoplinger founded the first settlement on Appalachia and his decendants are still prominent members of Appalachian society.
The planet is classified as a high-tech democratic world.
Soon after settlement the mild climated planet was completely terraformed and its landscape resembles a cultivated park.
The cosmopolitan inhabitants are welcoming to merchants, travelers and tourists alike.
Appalachia is well known for its walking trail, the Benton road.
The Benton road is a 3500 KM long walking path between the capitol Kathadin and the provincial city of Springer mountain.
Practically all inhabitants of Appalachia are sometimes at random struck by so called "wanderlust" and compelled to -without any notice or preperation- set off to walk the trail.
Wanderlust can take strange forms and it is not unheard of that people will leave halfway in a workday, at night or indeed during a phonecall or conversation to set out on the trail.
All along the Benton road, at regular intervals there are small kiosks where so called 'walkers' may find food and drink, walking gear and a place to sleep for free.
Benton road is well maintained but still a typical wanderlust trip can take three months to complete.
The wanderlust phenomenon only strikes inhabitants of Appalachia but the trail is also populair with offworlders who want to complete the trail for their own reasons.
Appalachia has seven major spaceports and fourteen smaller ones.
Smoking, alcoholic beverages and mind altering drugs are all prohibited but can be illegaly bought from street vendors in larger cities.
The terrain is ..erm well, flat. The two trail walkers and the city are freebies as is the small kiosk on the left.
Small story, I had little time for myself this week but managed to squeeze in this render based on a book I am reading about walking the Appalachian trai in America. Fasscinating stuff and it seemed a nice theme for the Galactic handbook.
edit: yes it is that typo again... sigh.
Horo, Rembrandt : thank you.
Rembrandt : wonderful image and story, the Benton road looks very inviting to start walking, beautiful sky and natural elements and of course the story is captivating.
Rembrandt - thank you. Fascinating story and nicely done render.
The object (Neonites) was made in Incendia_NEXT and is with the camera within a mirror box. Light and colour by the Rainbow3 HDRI and some specular by the sun, but no sun light.
You're Still My Girl (Basement Session) #IMY2
It's been over a year since I posted any Renders., Making a slow come back. Here's the first in kind of a new series, anybody interested in the Rode NT1-A Cardioids Condenser Microphone MC-5520 . I will get it up for down load in a week or so.
S Ray - good to see you back working with Bryce. Very nicely done scene.
Fun with 3D. The same object (two) as above within a mostly transparent cylinder. Light and colour by the WhiteSphere HDRI, some light and specular by the sun.
Adbc - thanks, an superb space scene, great Wings model.
Horo - thanks. Both are renders are awesome, interesting Incendia_NEXT object. What's the difference between the Incendia_NEXT and Incendia_Ex?
Rembrandt - thanks nice story and render, well done, I like any place where there are no Smoking, alcoholic beverages and mind altering drugs.
S Ray - nice to see your work again, lovely render.
Horo : both renders are very beautiful, great objects, the anaglyph is awesome.
S Ray : wonderful image, I like the blue hair !
mermaid : thank you.
mermaid - thank you. No idea, with the package (1.0.3) I got 5 years ago came Geometrica, HexQuilts, Incendia_NEXT and Quilts. I had played with it then, exported objects and imported them into the Bryce Objects Library. Incendia_Ex seems to be superseded by NEXT. See https://www.incendia.net at the bottom.
adbc - thank you.
Thanks Horo, so I have the older version.
Another space render : "outer space night view".
adbc - great spece scene. The planet/moon looks like Venus.
Wow an excellent Space scene Adbc
The terrain is a Photoshop height map which was processed in Horo’s TE Filter program, then brought into Bryce 3D
Horo, mermaid : thank you.
mermaid : wonderful landscape, terrain material and sky are awesome, the bird is a nice addition;
mermaid - great terrain with a fitting material and nicely lit.
Thanks Adbc and Horo
