Strange import into Vue

So I am using Poser Pro 2014 and have just upgraded to Vue xStream 2014. I have never had any issues importing scenes from Poser into Vue until now.

All figures work fine, except Genesis 2. When I import a Genesis 2 into vue it displays my posed figure AND a zero figure. See the image. Anyone seen this or know how to import correctly?

That's a bit of a git ... I would suspect it's down to the dual material zone naming the G2 figures have, but how to prevent/correct is beyond me.

Everytime I think there is something nice and new it's always a let down. They take one step forward and run backwards a bit.

How are you importing to Vue? As a .pz3? What you are seeing is just an artifact caused by the fact that Vue doesn't know how to deal with the geometry generated by the DSON importer (It is not a SmithMIcro product so the Poser SDK doesn't support it). The unposed figure you see is the subd cage of the figure. You can expand the figure in the Vue world browser (little + next to the figure name) and go through the parts of the figure. Once you find the offending part/parts you can just delete them. After that you can use the imported figure as usual. That usually works for me, even though I vastly prefer to import from DAZ Studio via .obj for G2 based figures.

Yes, as a pz3. I'll try hiding what I don't want. But reaaly, at the prices they charge it should be easy. They tout the fact it all works together, but it obviously does not.

It does import if I do not add any conforming props, like hair or clothes. Soon as I add anything the weirdness happens.

When I go to expand in Vue the 2 bodies are one item, so I cannot just delete one of them.

Make sure that "Group Figures as single meshes" is NOT checked in the Poser import options that pop up during import. That should allow you see all the parts that are under the figure. The parts you want to get rid of are usually named "subd".
As an alternative, you can also switch off subdivision in the DSON menu, that also avoids the duplicate mesh but you end up with the lower resolution version. Works for more distant figures. You can also subdivide in Vue.

P.S.: also make sure that you have all the latest versions: DSON importer, Poser Pro SR5 and Vue 2014.6 with Smith Micro SDK from October 2013.

I'm an idiot. I had it checked. Thanks, that is at least a work around.
