Wondering about other softwrae

Since starting out with DAZ Studio and occasionally needing to learn about a function Carrara, Hexagon, Bryce and Blender sneak into help articles. Often it seems these other programmes do things that DAZ can't. Having invested a lot of time learning DAZ I am hesitant to go back to square one just to take advantage of one particular function not available in DAZ. This set me wondering whether it is feasible to export my DAZ scene into one of these other programmes, perform the function and then re-export back to DAZ and my comfort zone.
In this instance I need to create a path for a camera track and DAZ doesn't appear to have anything that enables this.
Does anyone have any ideas?
