Website Speed Issue - 10/31

Hello everyone! I just wanted to let you know that we are aware of the issues affecting our website speed (beginning Saturday at 5 AM EDT) and are actively working on a resolution. Thank you for your patience and we do apologize for any inconveniences you've experienced

    ...wondering if in part, it may have something to do with the solar flare.  A few other sites have been "laggy" this weekend.

    There's usually (but not always) a more terrestrial explanation for outages. ("It's DNS. It's always DNS.") The fact that DAZ say that they're working on it suggests that it's something within their control which, so far as I know, does not include the Sun. But maybe I'm wrong about that, and DAZ engineers are even now having a stern word with the Sun and telling it to cool it with the coronal mass ejections, or else.

    Well because of the rain drops that kept falling on my head, I did some talking to the Sun and told him  I didn't like the way he got things done!

    ...the situation is not just terrestrial in nature as satellite up/downlinks are part of worldwide Net transmission.  This is more where my thoughts were focused as again I had a few other sites bog down as well over the weekend (for example ESPN on Saturday was particularly bad).
