How long does it take to get an image published in Gallery?

Hi all, I've been trying to submit an image to my gallery and maybe I'm doing it wrong but the final step said something like 'Request to publish image', which I did and got this message:   'PUBLISH REQUEST SUBMITTED NOV 1, 21 4:53PM'  but the image still isn't showing up in my root gallery.  I'm miffed at what else I can do, unless every image needs to be approved by Daz first before it'll be published.  I hope that's not the case since I uploaded it for the Spooktacular contest and did all the other required steps, but thought I'd ask cause it's my first posting to the gallery.  

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong or if I just need to wait, or ... ?    Thanks in advance!

    That might be your answer. I've never had to request permission to publish an image, but I've been posting here for years, and this might be a policy they've implemented recently for first-time posters.

    The admin of the gallery seems not always being online.

    I also started uploading to gallery recently and it takes around 4-5 hours to get the approval for 1st image frown

    Yup, the first few uploads have to be verified by a moderator.  So that can take up to a day.  After that it should be very fast, or instanteous. This is of course to keep spam or images that don't meet the community standards out of the gallery.

    I've been part of this site for a quie a long time but only just posted my first gallery images last week. Both needed me to request publication and while I don't know exactly how long it took (as I did them just before bedtime), they were both upload by the morning. It did confuse me at first, as to why they didn't immediately appear but I figured it must be some kind of vetting process. It's nice to know it won't always be needed though.

    The publish request seems to apply to everyone. I've bring uploading for months but this request started appearing in the last few days.
