In 4.7 Pro, If I save a subset with the same name as a scene the entire scene gets saved but is labeled as a subset in the GUI.

If you try to load this subset in another scene you a prompted to clear the scene.

If you merge it into the scene you get the entire scene, and not a subset.

The workaround is to navigate to your subset folder to find the real subset.

Ah, so this is in Smart Content or in Categories or products, not in the Content Library DAZ Studio Formats list? It does sound like an unwanted confusion if the tag and the actual file listed don't match - odd behaviour is worth reporting as a bug, just to be sure, though it may not formally count as a bug (and it's not really a good idea to use the same name for scene and scene subset).

Well Scenes and Sets are saved in different directories, so I would call it a bug if an icon in the GUI which is clearly labeled as a "Set" is linked to the "Scene" directory.

The default path for the different content types is different, though I've never understood the logic for that (and ignore it). But having files with the same name and different locations can cause confusion, though what you are reporting doesn't sound right which si why I suggest reporting it.
