ActivePose tool selected item indication [Solved]
When you use the Universal tool and have an item selected, in the viewport it gives you the X/Y/Z axes and rotation controls centered on that item's origin. (Not sure what they're officially called, but it's the red/green/blue triple arrow thingie.) Cool. Normally, when you use the ActivePose tool, that _doesn't_ show. Also cool. Periodically, however, I run into situations where the ActivePose tool starts showing the axes and rotation controls on the selected item the way the Universal Tool does, which is annoying, since it can make doing the posing more difficult by partially hiding the thing I'm trying to work with. Once this new "selection mode" starts, the only way I can seem to get it back to "normal" is to restart Daz Studio.
1. Anybody else seeing this?
2. If so, have you figured out what erroneous UI action causes it?
3. And have you figured out a way to get it back to "normal" short of restarting DS?

You can toggle the active pose gizmo on and off with the shift key. FWIW you should have the tool settings pane open when you are using the active pose tool (window/panes/tool settings iirc), there you will find all the toys that make it so useful, especially the pins. After you place your first pin, say in the right foot, the rest of the figure will active pose relative to that rather than its hips, so you can pin a foot, drag the other foot or a hand or the pelvis or whatever into position, pin that, etc. Works for rigged props like ropes too, pin one end, suddenly you can just grab the other end and drag it around and the whole prop responds rather than being anchored by its center point or hips or what ever. And you will also see a toggle button for the gizmo in the tool settings pane, so you can turn it on and off here too. I only use the universal tool for intial positioning of a figure, after that its all active pose and the parameters dials and powerpose. I recommend docking the tool settings pane to your workspace if it isnt there already, mine is in the same panel as my content libraries since I only need to be able to see one or the other of those while Im working.
Ah! That's the magic! Pressing the shift key toggles it!
