Where can I get the Iray uber base? From what I can tell it should have came with Studio.

Edit: Looking through my files at Daz Library/Shader Presets/Iray/Daz Uber and I see Uber Base. It shows up on the left pane in my Content Libary but it acts like it is not installed.

  • Nearly everything I've ever installed through Daz Central is not actually installed. WTF does Daz Central say it is installed?

What do you mean by "not actually installed"?

Where does DazCentral install your content, and is that directory listed as a content directory in DS preferences?

"Not actually installed" meant Daz Central says Installed but it shows up in Smart Content as available for install. The problem was the base file path in Daz Central was set to "managed by DIM", which I don't use. Because I had fits trying to make Daz install somewhere other than the C: drive, I let Central install to the default path and then manually move it to my actual library on another drive. Apparently that stopped working at some point.

Whatever 'Smart' Content is telling you - Don't listen !!!

Do yourself a favor, and configure DS for offline use, if you are using DIM or DAZ Central to install content, you do not need to log in/sign in to DS at any point, logging in is only needed for installing content with DAZ Connect within DS and then it gets installed to an other location.

  • The Available for Install refers to Daz Connect, installing through Daz Studio. The marker for being installed at all is that the thumbnail is in colour
